For example, when a longstanding client expressed dissatisfaction following internal structural changes in October 2024, Ben took ownership of the situation. Results in the past year are testament to Markel’s sterling performance: the firm grew new business by 42%, its Direct division achieved total growth of 22%, and it scored an uptick in gross operating profit of 58%.
